I listen to the real estate noise and You’d think we real estate agents would all evolve to “giving value first” before wanting to “Pitch” anyone.
Unfortunately, that is not the case. In fact, it seems that most realtors are pitching 24/7/365.
You want to buy a home, condo or town-home, there are three things that will help answer the question that is contained in this real estate blog title.
- How settled are you? Do you have a family in tow, are you ready to dig in like an “Alabama Tick?”, do you need one of the Best Tax Write off’s possible (Mortgage interest)?
- How secure are your financials? Although there is really no way to know for sure if one is going to be “Pink slipped”, this is something worth considering.
- How much money per month can you apply towards a mortgage? If you are currently paying $500.00 a month for rent, and that is cutting it close each month with the addition of your other expenses – Home ownership may not be a good fit for you(depending on your “median housing prices” in the city where you want to buy a home).
Many that are considering buying a home lose sight of “affordability”. Your lender may tell you that you can qualify for much more than you can afford. So, when your real estate agent starts to prepare to show you homes, that are available for sale, make sure they are doing it at an amount in which you are comfortable in making the payment.
